🌴 Florida Unwritten: Stories from the Backroads and Beyond

Florida’s not just beaches and theme parks—and I’m not just another guy with a blog. I’m Earl Lee, born and raised in this wild, weird state, and I’ve got stories to tell—the kind you won’t find on postcards or travel brochures.

Florida Unwritten is my way of showing you the real Florida: the forgotten towns, the crooked signs, the folks who wave from porches and tell you everything you didn’t ask to know.

Around here, the stories are short, strange, and full of heart. Some are funny, some are hopeful, and some are just plain odd—but all of them are true in the way only Florida can be.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to chase armadillos at dusk or argue with a rooster at sunrise, you’re in the right place.

And if you stumble into Fiction in Flip-Flops, well… that’s where things get delightfully sideways.

Cartoon pelican on a dock wearing sunglasses and a hat, with signs reading 'Pelican's Paradise' and 'Pelican's R' in the background, surrounded by shells and fishing net, with the sun setting over the water.
A black panther with piercing yellow eyes peering out from a tree trunk in a lush, green forest.
A detailed illustration of a crocodile lying in shallow water near grassy banks.
A colorful watercolor painting of a sunset over the ocean, with large palm trees in the foreground and rocky sandbanks on the sides.
